California!!! May 28, 2008

Right after graduation on Thursday, I packed up and headed out farther west to the great state of California! While we (my mom, my sister Tessa and my pals Anne and Linda) were there, we hit up my aunt’s graduation from nursing school on Friday, the garment district in LA on Saturday, Newport Beach on Sunday and Disneyland on Monday!!! I had an amazing time and I will always remember that trip because it was so packed with activities that there was never a dull moment! My favorite was definitely Disneyland though because I am a Disneyland addict!!! I crave it all the time lol! I know a ton of facts about the place and can tell you about most every ride except the new Nemo ride because no ride is worth four hours of waiting… Thanks mom for the amazing trip!!!

Graduation Sucked!!! May 28, 2008

I am so totally mortified… My graduation class was the only class in the history of Highland to get rained out!!! We’re in the valley of Arizona and my graduation gets rained out!? It was so insane! I worked so hard for it and not one of my family members or friends was allowed to watch me graduate live… The ceremony was moved into the auditorium and because there were 667 graduates, there was no room for the friends and family. They were all herded into the main hall and classrooms to watch the ceremony broadcasted on the TVs. It was utterly disappointing and I want to cry. That was my day and it sucked. It would be the kid who is in love with school who’s graduation gets rained on…

I looked really good though and my hair didn’t go flat even in the rain! At the after party, I got a new lap top and a huge Betsy Johnson luggage bag along with a ton of cash and a graduation Barbie doll. My gag gifts included lotion (my biggest annoyance!!! I hate lotion of all sorts!!!) and a disposable camera in a digital camera box… Nicki and Javan, you owe me a really good gift at my real party! lol

 

New Job! May 23, 2008

I started my new job as Kelli Leslie’s assistant on Wednesday. I had a blast. We ordered the new lightroom software and I learned how to use it to batch edit some of her pictures and we got started on her new blog which you can view on my blogroll. I know I’m gonna enjoy working with her and it was fun too so that’s a bonus!

That night, or rather the following morning, I went and saw the new Indiana Jones! I loved it! Most of the people that saw it didn’t really like it but I thought it was pretty sweet and (look away if you haven’t seen the movie) I thought the alien concept was unique and interesting. It was creative how they played upon the ancient Mayans, El Dorado, the Red Scare, I love Ike and the nuclear bomb to convey a story about aliens! I went and saw it with my pals Nicki, Javan, Zoe and Linda along with my brother and sister. It was very entertaining considering the film contained an almost better that’s what she said than Iron Man. In Iron Man, Pepper says, “I thought it would be bigger.” lol In Indiana Jones, Indy says, “There were thirteen of them and someone came.” Bahahahahahahaha THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

Overall, Wednesday was a good day!

You’ve been waiting and here they are!!! My senior pictures!!! Thanks Kelly  Leslie for the photography! The shoot went amazing! We went to Mill Avenue and found some amazing locations. Tessa went along with me as my stylist and I can’t wait to go on her senior shoot next year and be her stylist! Thank you Tessa! While I’m in such a thanking mood, I have to thank Megan too because she postponed her camping trip by four hours so that she could help me pick out outfits and give me make up advice which she ended up doing my make up for me! I can’t thank her enough because my make up looks amazing!!! Thanks mom and dad for working so hard to pay for the pictures! I love you all! Ok I’ll shut up and let you look at the pictures now…

I’m done! May 16, 2008

It’s official… I’m done with my AP tests finally!!! I ended it with Microeconomics and I’m pretty sure I scored terribly on that one considering my teacher did not teach us anything until recently when the class had already given up on her. My first test, American government, went swimmingly after close to 12 hours of studying! Next came the Calculus BC exam and that was cake because I have to coolest and best teacher in the world!!! Thanks Mrs. Knipp! After that, I took the English Literature and Composition test which fried my brain doing an hours worth of reading and multiple choice along with writing 3 essays in 2 hours… I am so glad to be done!!!!!! Now I just have to wait for the official done which will come along with a car cover (AKA graduation gown) and a teal and black tassle on Thursday, May 22! Go Highland High! 

I’m definitely gonna miss all my friends but I am so done with high school…

I can’t wait for ASU in the fall! I’m majoring in Biochemistry and then I’m off to Pharmacy school

I haven’t had time for anything this past week except studying for my AP tests. It sucked and I better score high so I can avoid retaking these classes in college! Stress was at an all time high even for me and sleep was at an all time low… I was more than thankful when the weekend came and I was able to send out my graduation announcements and watch the Indiana’s so as to prep for number four!!!

    

I can’t wait for it because Indiana Jones and Star Wars are tied for my top movies! Temple of Doom and Episode Three are the best in their respective series.
