I need a camera charger…

One of the main reasons I haven’t been posting is because I left my camera charger in Mexico and thus have been unable to take pictures with my dead camera and blogs are no fun without pictures. Have no fear though! I found one on good ol’ ebay! I should be up and running with awesome posts (that have some swell pictures) soon!!!

As for now, you’ll just have to wait…

Something big has happened since I last updated… I withdrew from ASU!

You may be thinking to yourself: Why would Tana, the girl who worshipped school quit? What is she going to do now? Your questions are about to to be quelled.

First of all, this is not out of the blue. I have been seriously considering this option since November 2008. I thought that I should give myself another semester before I made my decision. After I started that semester, I knew for certain that this was not what I wanted out of life.

Secondly, it was not making me happy and it was distracting me from the things in my life that did make me happy. I sat down to consider what made me happy and I put them in the following order:

1. Serving and drawing close to God, Jehovah

2. Spending time with my family and friends

3. My hobbies: Cooking, Baking, Dancing, Photography & Learning

School was prohibiting me from almost all of the above.

What am I going to do with my life?

Spiritually: I’m going to start regularly auxillary pioneering (going from house to house preaching about the Bible for a certain amount of committed time) in March. I want to help people who are searching for the truth from the Bible. I know that I have found that truth and I want to share it with anyone who is interested. I finally “made the truth my own!” James 4:8 says “Draw close to Jehovah and He will draw close to you.” I plan on achieving this as well as helping others to also through free home Bible studies.

Workwise: I have no idea yet but I want to pursue a career in one of my hobbies. Maybe I’ll go to culinary school or become a photographer! (I’m going to put my faith first for at least a year and then start working on my financial support. Matthew chapter 6 talks about how we need to stop being anxious over things in this world. If we put Jehovah first, he will provide all the other things we need.)

I can tell you all one thing for certain. I have been more happy in these few short weeks than I have ever been in my life! If you have any other questions, just let me know! I’ll answer them

It’s a Boy!!!

Megan is having a boy!!! I’m so excited and I called this from the beginning We went to Peek of You to get an ultrasound done to determine the sex. He was being really stubborn at first and would not uncross his legs but the ultrasound tech finally was able to make him shift positions. He was so adorable in all his pictures! We will be welcoming Foxx Hart Ryberg in June so be excited!

So I did as well as I expected… I got a B on the exam but its ok because this exam will be dropped and I only missed one question on my first exam and none on my second exam so we’re in the clear! Yay! I’m going to get an A! I just need to remember to study for the final…

Exam Time…

Yet again, I was faced with the decision to study all day and cram for my third chemistry exam or go to sleep. I chose sleep. I still feel super prepared for this test though because I can’t help but recall the information from the colorful powerpoints in lecture and the insanely motivated presentations given by the TA’s in recitation. As I sit here waiting for the test to begin, I laugh as I scan the room of SUPER STRESSED students who just barely rolled out of bed, somehow remembering that the exam was today…

What is a mole?

If you say un-ionized rather than union-ized then your a chemist…

If you think a mole is Avagadro’s number 6.02*10^23 instead of a furry little animal or a nasty brown spot on your skin, then your a chemist…
